Martial Arts, such as Taekwon-Do-Karate-Ju-Jitsu has really grown since I moved here. I moved here from New Hampshire in 2003 after a long term relationship with my current wife. She worked at the Wal-Mart home office in Bentonville. I had sold my school in New Hampshire, and when I moved to Bella Vista, I was looking for a Taekwon-Do school to train at. There was little here. So I started my own school. I searched in Bentonville, but I wasn’t getting much response.
Then I looked at Centerton and it seem to be upcoming. I was warned not to choose Centerton, because the Bentonville folks thought of it as a poor town. I’m glad I didn’t listen. I saw what I saw, and that was potential. We have had highs and lows during the school operations, but I can’t complain.
Bentonville and Centerton have grown so much and so has Martial Arts here. There are more choices of styles and systems to choose from, which I think is a good thing. Before, in 2003, I would have to travel to Rogers or even Fayetteville. Now we have everything we need locally. I hope I had a lot to do with making that possible.
We are Martial Arts Advantage (formerly Northwest Taekwon-Do) in Centerton, and have been here since 2004.
